The EXPERTsuisse Women's Network
Overall, around 40% of women work in the consulting and auditing sector. However, the proportion varies according to function level and company size, and the higher the management position, the fewer women are represented.
The central question
How can female experts use their perspectives to increase their presence and influence in the auditing and consulting industry and develop their potential?
EXPERTsuisse has been actively promoting the recruitment of women to the industry since 2011. The Women's Network Initiative aims to continuously identify the concerns of women in the auditing and consulting industry and to implement measures to increase the attractiveness of the industry together with the member companies. Because women should become visible.
This requires role models and mentors - and networks. Ruth Metzler, former Federal Councillor and qualified auditor, launched the Women's Network Initiative in 2011 together with Otto Wyss, then President of EXPERTsuisse, and Marius Klauser, then Director of EXPERTsuisse, and representatives of EXPERTsuisse member companies. The thirteen sections had set themselves the goal of appointing at least one woman to the section boards by the end of 2017. In 2018, the organization of the continuation of the initiative was handed over entirely to the sections. Since then, it has been the responsibility of the sections to organize and carry out annual FrauenNetz events either independently or together with other sections.
Ambassador of the EXPERTsuisse Women's Network

Denise Labhart, owner of her own auditing and fiduciary firm, has been on the board of the Aargau section of EXPERTsuisse since 2018, where she heads the Women's Network with great commitment and enthusiasm. She actively supports female members. With specially organized FrauenNetz events, lunches and presentations, an attractive section programme is offered to women members every year. Denise Labhart has also played a key role in driving forward the introduction of a mentoring program that is aimed not only at women, but also at our youngEXPERTsuisse.
