EXPERTsuisse moves from Limmatquai to Stauffacher
The previous Zurich locations Jungholzstrasse and Limmatquai are merged and supplemented by their own training facilities.

2015

Start of the EXPERTsuisse era
Since April 1, 2015, the Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants and Tax Consultants has been called EXPERTsuisse - Auditing, Tax and Fiduciary Services. In addition to certified auditors and certified tax experts, certified fiduciary experts are now also included again.

2011

Uniform management at the Institute ofProfessional Trustees and Fiduciaries
The management of the Institute of Professional Trustees and Fiduciaries and the Academy of the Institute of Professional Trustees and Fiduciaries AG (until 2011 Educaris AG) will be placed under uniform management.

2007

Gentle realignment of the Fiduciary Chamber
In the course of the introduction of the new auditing law (licensing requirement for auditors, state audit supervision), the Fiduciary Chamber undergoes a gentle realignment in 2007, which results, among other things, in its separation from the SVIR at the end of the 2007/2008 financial year.

Foundation of the Audit Oversight Authority (FAOA) and the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA)
Restriction of the previous self-regulation through state licensing and supervision.

2005

Emergence of a new audit law
Significant involvement of the Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants and Tax Consultants in the parliamentary deliberations.

2004

First publication of the auditing standards
The principles for auditing financial statements are replaced by the Swiss Auditing Standards (PS) by resolution of the Board of Directors.

1999

Foundation of the competence center for training and further education
The chamber schools are replaced by the competence center.

Development of the principles for the final examination
In the 1990s, principles for the final examination (GzA) are developed (last version from 2001), which - summarized in a brochure - are distributed free of charge. They are widely used by members of the profession, but also in other circles.

1998

Conversion of the further training recommendation into an obligation
The minimum requirements now comprise an average of 60 hours over two years. The proportion of targeted, systematic self-study is credited with a maximum of 30 hours.

The third edition of the Auditing Handbook is published for the first time as HWP
In 1998, the third edition of the Auditing Handbook is published in four volumes under the new name Schweizer Handbuch der Wirtschaftsprüfung (HWP).

Formation of the specialist groups
Since 1998, three specialist groups have been formed into which the Chamber members are divided: Auditing, Tax and Fiduciary.

1997

Adaptation of the sub-name of the association's name
Until 1997, the association was called the "Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants and Auditors" and was then renamed the "Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants, Tax Experts and Fiduciary Experts".

1994

Recommendation for further training
Since 1994 and 1996, there has been a recommendation for further training for chamber members with an obligation of at least 60 hours per year (of which no more than half may be self-study). This follows the pattern of the Anglo-American region.

1980

Restructuring phase
The Association of Bank Auditing Associations (Group 3; Zurich and Berne Bank Auditing Association) is integrated into the Association of Swiss Trust and Auditing Companies (Group 2). The Swiss Association of Internal Auditors SVIR is now included in the Chamber as Group 3.

1975

In its anniversary year, the Chamber School is transformed into a foundation
In the year of the Chamber's 50th anniversary, the Zurich Chamber School is transformed into the legal form of a foundation.

1971

First revision manual is published
The revision manual is published in installments from 1971 to 1979.

1969

First recommendation on a technical issue
In 1969, the Swiss Institute of Certified Accountants and Tax Consultants issued its first recommendation on a technical issue, namely the standard text for the auditor's report.

1968

Name changed from "Swiss Chamber of Auditors" to "Swiss Fiduciary and Auditing Chamber"
An important function of the Chamber is to issue fee regulations.
This will be repealed in 2007.

1962

Founding of the first auditor/chamber school
With the founding of this school, the chamber can now offer a complete training program. Previously, she was only responsible for examinations.

1960

Move to Limmatquai 120, Zurich
The Chamber Secretariat is now located at Limmatquai 120 in Zurich.

1954

First issue of the Swiss Trustee (formerly Bulletin)
The tax section is introduced at the same time as the first issue in April 1954.

1936

The Chamber's first auditor course is offered
The Chamber's Group 2 (VSB) offers the first auditor course at the Kaufleuten in Zurich.

The Schweizer Treuhänder is published under the name "Bulletin"
The "Bulletin" is published in printed form for the first time and replaces the VSB's internal typewritten bulletin.
It therefore appears immediately with the "10th Year No. 1".

1926

The Chamber's first auditor's examination
Until the 1960s, one of the Chamber's main tasks was to award the "Diploma of the Swiss Chamber of Auditors".

1925

The beginning of a new era: Foundation of the Swiss Chamber of Auditors
The Swiss Chamber of Auditors becomes the umbrella organization for the Swiss auditing and fiduciary sector.
